This is Kenara's clearest official award. Kenara Snack was named the recipient of the Inspirational MSME category by KPPBC TMP B Tanjung Balai Karimun for its performance in 2022. The award was announced in February 2023.
Kenara successfully passed Bank Indonesia's curation process in 2022. This achievement provided broader access to MSME development programs and business-matching opportunities.
Kenara was featured in the 2022 Riau Islands Leading MSME Business Matching catalog, associated with Gebyar Melayu Pesisir, the Proudly Made in Indonesia movement, and Bank Indonesia Riau Islands.
Muhammad Ikhsan Hasibuan, owner of Kerupuk Kenara, was among the Karimun MSME entrepreneurs who brought their products to the Majestic Festival in Johor Bahru, held from 8–18 September 2022.
Kenara was among the Karimun MSMEs participating in GMP 2023, organized by Bank Indonesia Riau Islands together with local governments. The event featured 94 MSMEs, including participants from Malaysia and Thailand.
On 20 August 2023, Kenara was one of the Karimun SMEs participating in the 78th Indonesian Independence Day bazaar at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore.
Through Bank Indonesia's business-matching program, by 2025 Kenara was regularly shipping approximately 300 packs per week to Singapore, generating around SGD 1,200 in monthly transactions. Its products were marketed at Lucky Plaza and its branches.
By 2025, Kenara was also shipping approximately 500 packs per month to Malaysia. One exhibition in Johor generated around RM7,500 in transactions over 10 days.
Kenara products returned to GMP 2025 at One Batam Mall. The event supported the development and promotion of export-oriented MSMEs and featured 24 businesses from multiple sectors.
Kenara is listed on Bank Indonesia's Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) platform as a Riau Islands MSME, featuring Spanish Mackerel Fish Crackers, Prawn Crackers, and Garlic Prawn Crackers. Kenara's listing remains available on the 2026 KKI website.
By 2025, Kenara had entered approximately 15 modern retail outlets in Karimun before expanding into Batam, including Hypermart, DC Mall, and local souvenir stores.
Beyond Karimun and Batam, Kenara products have reached Tanjungpinang, Pekanbaru, and Bengkulu.
From an operation initially run by two people, Kenara grew to employ six local workers by 2025, with a daily production capacity of approximately 40 kg of prawn crackers and 36 kg of fish crackers.
In January 2026, Kenara Family Snack was listed among the small industries receiving a loaned spinner machine from the Karimun Regency Department of Manpower and Industry. While not an award, it represents an important milestone in the company's development.
